The VIS wz. 35 pistol, designed by Piotr Wilniewczyc and Jan Skrzypiński, is a personal firearm used for self-defense and close-range combat up to 50 meters. It is a self-loading pistol with a moving barrel and a locked breech, operating on the principle of short recoil. Produced from 1936 to 1939 at the Radom Arms Factory, it was the standard issue sidearm for officers and non-commissioned officers of the Polish Army. During World War II, the occupation forces continued its production, and the VIS wz. 35 was used by the Third Reich.
