In tribute to the fallen workers of the Arms Factory!

On Saturday, October 14th of this year, commemorations took place marking the 81st anniversary of the execution of the workers of the Arms Factory by German occupiers in 1942. The ceremony occurred at the monument commemorating the murdered and the victims of World War II. At the site of the first execution on October 14, 1942, the Nazis hanged 15 people, including 14 workers from the Radom facility, in front of the entire Arms Factory staff and the city's residents. The execution was meant as a warning against removing weapons from the factory, thereby supporting the Armed Struggle Union.

On behalf of the Board of the Łucznik Radom Arms Factory, flowers in tribute to the executed were laid by Michał Kowalczyk, Production Director, Paweł Madej, Development Director, and Grzegorz Niedzielski. The company was also represented by members of the unions operating within it. Memory of the former workers of the Arms Factory was also honored by representatives of municipal and provincial authorities, parliamentarians from the Radom region, representatives of the RKP 1926 BROŃ Radom sports club, including young soccer enthusiasts, soldiers from the Territorial Defense Forces, and other organizations that keep the deeds of World War II heroes in memory.

During the events from 81 years ago, many workers of the Arms Factory, risking their own, even very young lives, engaged in underground activities. They supplied the Armed Struggle Union with parts for firearms produced in the Radom factory. They also conducted sabotage and intelligence activities.
