Award recipients are selected by the Program Council, composed of representatives from the military, academia, and the defense sector. The Council recognizes outstanding military equipment, weapons systems, technologies, as well as IT and logistical solutions.

The company received the DEFENDER Award for its MSBS GROT standard rifle system, available in both classic and bullpup layouts, with an integrated 40mm modular grenade launcher. This modern Polish design was developed by Fabryka Broni "Łucznik" – Radom in cooperation with the Military University of Technology.
The system includes two standard rifles equipped with an under-barrel modular 40mm grenade launcher — one in a traditional layout and the other in a bullpup configuration. Thanks to its modular construction, the weapon can be quickly adapted to the needs of the user, while ambidextrous controls facilitate handling for both right- and left-handed soldiers. The rifle and grenade launcher system offers high effectiveness (up to 500 meters for the rifle and 400 meters for the launcher) and reliability under all operational conditions.
The classic configuration has been in service with the Polish Armed Forces since 2017, with over 180,000 units produced until now. The bullpup version, positively tested and approved, has been available since 2021.

This DEFENDER Award marks another milestone in the company’s centennial year and reaffirms its leading position in the Polish defense industry.
